The purpose is to determine the cognitive state of a subject through various instruments such as interviews, examinations, questionnaires or scales.
The different instruments explore different cognitive functions such as attention, executive functions, memory or language among others. All the results are analyzed in a global way in order to arrive at an accurate diagnosis and propose a possible intervention or treatment.
The purpose of the assessment is usually centralized to find out if there is a cognitive impairment, its intensity and tp plan an intervention.
